I have only used the Hero 4 a couple of times as my camera had an issue with the audio. There was a helicopter sound on the audio channel whenever I use the wifi. There are some significant settings tweaks that are best done via wi-fi.I suggest to learn about these settings, especially Pro Tune, which is higher resolution than normal. The Go Pro App allows you to control your camera remotely using your phone or tablet, view and share your content, and watch "best of" videos on the Go Pro Channel.Use Go Pro Studio to create your own engaging Go Pro-style videos to share with the world 3840 x 2160p at 24/25/30 fps (H.264)2704 x 2028p at 25/30 fps (H.264)2704 x 1520p at 24/25/30/48/50/60 fps (H.264)1920 x 1440p at 24/25/30/48/50/60/80 fps (H.264)1920 x 1080p at 24/25/30/48/50/60/80/90/120 fps (H.264)1280 x 960p at 50/60/120 fps1280 x 720p at 25/30/50/60/120/240 fps (H.264)848 x 480p at 240 fps (H.264) I am a professional photographer.
I am a professional photographer using this for a timelapse project. Corrupted files even though using Go Pro supported cards, unexpected camera shut downs due to overheating even though it was running on A/C power, and pairing with Go Pro app became glitchy after working fine for weeks.
I have researched this problem online and have learned that it is surprisingly common. Go Pro really need to improve their quality control.
I think the best setup to easily operate the camera is the camera paired to a tablet/phone.
This allows for both camera settings control and wi-fi live video feed and video review.
We're using this camera for sports video acquisition video review (playback), support in multicam video projects and taking quick photos for locations scouting.
